Established in 1903, it is housed within the National Museums of Kenya and serves as the region&amp;rsquo;s primary repository for plant specimens, with a collection of over 1 million preserved samples from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and surrounding areas. The herbarium plays a critical role in plant taxonomy, biodiversity research, conservation, and education, supporting scientists, students, and environmental managers.
